Tinergy & Santa New Energy Propel EV Adoption in Asia
SINGAPORE, Nov11, 2023 – (ACN Newswire) – Tinergy Renewable Energy, a leader in renewable energy, and Santa New Energy have signed an MoU to establish electric vehicle (EV) battery checking centers in Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia. These facilities aim to enhance EV adoption in the region and contribute to ASEAN’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
The centers will utilize Santa New Energy’s battery online detection technology, offering comprehensive battery checks during the charging process without dismantling the vehicle. The initiative aligns with Singapore’s plan to phase out combustion car sales by 2030. The partnership aims to enhance EV after-sales services in Southeast Asia, including battery maintenance, second-hand EV sales evaluation, and recycling.
“As Singapore targets phasing out combustion car sales by 2030, and with various incentives put in place to encourage the adoption of EVs, there needs to be effective and reliable EV battery checking facilities to ensure the longevity and sustainability of EV batteries,” said Garry Tay, Founder and CEO of B2G Energies. “Our collaboration with Tinergy Energies and Santa New Energy to bring this facility to Singapore and is in support of the Singapore Green Plan 2030 by the Singapore government, aimed at reducing carbon emissions.”
