Alipay+ links 2M Japan merchants amid cherry blossom tourism

Amidst the cherry blossom season in Japan, Alipay+ facilitates seamless transactions for global tourists, with 2 million merchants connected.

Transactions surged over 200%, accounting for 10% of spending. Sixteen e-wallets, including Alipay, Kakao Pay, and GCash, are accepted. Over 40 local acquiring partners collaborate with Alipay+.

Introduced in 2020, Alipay+ now spans 57 countries, enabling hassle-free global payments for 1.5 billion consumers and fostering cross-border engagement for merchants.
