KLIA Aerotrain Service Set to Resume by January 2025


Malaysia’s Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) aerotrain service is expected to resume operations by January 31, 2025, according to Transport Minister Anthony Loke.

Two aerotrain sets recently arrived in Malaysia and are now in the installation phase, with dynamic inspections set to begin in October. A third set will arrive in October as a backup.

The project, originally scheduled for completion in March 2025, has been expedited. Meanwhile, shuttle bus services will continue as an option for passengers.

The resumption is crucial as Malaysia will chair ASEAN and host international meetings in 2025.
