DHL Launches Innovative Global E-Commerce Solutions for Peak Season

DHL Global Forwarding, the freight specialist of the Group, has introduced new cross-border e-commerce solutions ahead of the year-end holiday season. These solutions will support shipping from China to global markets with various service levels, including full tracking capabilities.

DHL Expands Cross-Border Shipping Solutions

In the first half of 2024, China’s cross-border e-commerce trade reached 1.22 trillion yuan, showing a 10.5% growth. Chinese platforms like Shein, Temu, AliExpress, and TikTok Shop are becoming more popular worldwide, with the U.S. as the primary export market, followed closely by Europe. According to DHL’s Global Shopper Trends Report, 53% of European shoppers purchase from China.

DHL’s new offerings include:

  • End-to-end service in key markets
  • Fast and reliable shipping with track and trace functionality
  • IT integration options and support for major e-commerce platforms
  • Direct access to European markets with 4-5 day delivery times from China to Germany

Robin Li, Vice President of Global E-commerce Development, emphasized the importance of these solutions for small- and mid-sized businesses navigating customs and logistics regulations. The solutions provide full and semi-tracking options with simplified processes.

The solution will also offer expedited services to markets including Europe, the U.K., and the U.S., helping businesses maximize their global reach during the peak holiday season.
