PARK CITY, Kansas, Oct. 19 — US President Donald Trump used a campaign rally in Kansas to warn that America could face turmoil similar to recent unrest in France if Democrats make electoral gains. Speaking in support of Republican Senator Roger Marshall, Trump sought to energise conservative voters ahead of a closely contested Senate race.
Trump Warns
“I love you Kansas, but I’m here for a guy named Roger Marshall,” Trump told supporters. He argued that scenes of protest and disorder in France should serve as a warning for American voters. “We’re not going to let that happen to this country,” he said. “When you see burning steeples and raging fires in France, just remember that is what the radical Dumocrats want to do to America.”
The rally comes as Republicans defend seats in traditionally conservative states amid voter concerns over rising prices and other national issues. Marshall faces Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton in a race attracting increased national attention.
