100 ASEAN Youth Volunteers Begin Community Projects Under eYAA Cohort 5 to Drive Regional Impact

The eMpowering Youths Across ASEAN (eYAA): Cohort 5 programme officially welcomed 100 youth volunteers from 10 ASEAN countries at its Regional Capacity Building Workshop in Bangkok, Thailand, ahead of ASEAN Day on 8 August 2025. Organised by Maybank Foundation and ASEAN Foundation, the four-day workshop prepared participants to implement 10 community-based projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. Projects focus on community building, arts and culture, environmental diversity, and education, with each receiving up to USD 25,000 in grants. The initiative aims to empower youth as changemakers, impacting over 89,000 people since its launch in 2018.
