Andrew Sheng
Wawasan Open University (WOU) has announced the appointment of Tan Sri Andrew Sheng as Chairman of the Wawasan Education Foundation (WEF), succeeding Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, who led the Foundation from 2013 to 2025. Dr Koh will continue as Chairman of WOU’s Board of Governors.
WEF serves as the philanthropic and strategic backbone of WOU, advancing equitable access to higher education and fostering research. Tan Sri Sheng’s global expertise in financial systems, public policy, and governance is expected to expand the University’s social and economic impact.
He is already deeply integrated into WOU as a Board of Governors member, Chairman of the George Town Institute of Open and Advanced Studies, and Professor of Practice. WOU also congratulated him on his appointment as Special Adviser to Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, underscoring his role in bridging financial governance with sustainable development priorities.
