AZRB founder, Tan Sri Wan Zaki, dies

Tan Sri Wan Zaki Wan Muda, founder of Ahmad Zaki Resources Berhad (AZRB), has passed away at age 74. Known for his significant contributions to Malaysia’s construction sector, Wan Zaki previously served in several state-owned companies in Pahang and Terengganu before founding Ahmad Zaki Sdn Bhd.

In 1999, he was appointed AZRB’s executive vice-chairman and later became executive chairman in 2004. After retiring, he continued as group advisor.

AZRB, listed on Bursa Malaysia, played a key role in notable projects like Jambatan Putra, Pintasan Saloma, and Universiti Teknologi Petronas, with ventures in oil and gas, property, concessions, and plantations.
