PETALING JAYA, Sept 9: BAC Education Group (BAC) and ZICO Trust (M) Berhad have partnered to expand access to tertiary education through a new scholarship programme.
The partnership was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed today, with ZICO Trust Malaysia sponsoring tuition fees for 10 students pursuing selected degree programmes in law, accounting and finance, and business administration.
The scholarships are valued at more than RM160,000 annually and will cover the full duration of the recipients’ three-year programmes.
Six students will pursue Bachelor of Laws degrees under the University of London International Programme through BAC in Malaysia, while two will study for Bachelor of Accounting and Finance degrees at Veritas University College.
Another two recipients will undertake Bachelor of Business Administration degrees through Veritas University College’s open and distance learning programme.
The programme targets students from B40 households who demonstrate strong academic performance and disciplinary standing.
Upon graduation, recipients will serve a one-year employment bond with ZICO Trust Malaysia, subject to additional eligibility criteria and programme terms.
BAC Education co-founder and Chief Future Officer Raja Singham said the partnership reflects the importance of preparing students not only for qualifications, but also for evolving workplaces and careers shaped by technological change.
