Bridgenet Solutions addresses cybersecurity threats in Malaysia
Bridgenet Solutions, a subsidiary of CelcomDigi, hosted the inaugural Cybersecurity Symposium in Kuala Lumpur to address cybersecurity threats in Malaysia.
The event focused on the recently introduced Cybersecurity Act 2024, which mandates measures for national critical information infrastructure entities. Industry leaders, government officials, and experts discussed strategies for compliance and risk management.
The symposium highlighted the importance of cybersecurity in the digital economy, with panelists emphasizing legal and practical aspects of the Act. The event underscored the collaborative effort needed to enhance Malaysia’s cybersecurity landscape.
“In recent years, we have witnessed a dramatic increase in cyber threats, from data breaches to ransomware attacks,” says Keane Leong, Group CEO of Bridgenet Solutions. In his welcome speech he highlighted the synergy between CelcomDigi’s robust telecom infrastructure and Bridgenet’s advanced cybersecurity expertise. “These incidents not only disrupt our operations, but also erode trust and confidence in our digital
systems. As we embrace the digital economy, ensuring robust cybersecurity measures is no longer an option but a necessity. ”
