Taiwan’s TAIEX (+8.7%), and Japan’s Nikkei 225 (+7.2%). The only laggard was the FBM KLCI (-0.3%)
Across the eight markets it monitored, foreigners ended a seven-week consecutive streak of net selling, with net foreign inflows totalling USD6.52b.
“Net buying activities were led by Taiwan, South Korea, Thailand, and Malaysia. While net selling was led by India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the Philippines,” it said.
Bursa
On Bursa Malaysia, foreign institutions extended to a three-week consecutive streak of net buying, recording RM470.3m in net inflows
The US dollar depreciated against the Ringgit last week by -1.6%, closing at RM3.9653. The price of Brent crude oil was down by -14.5% to USD95.2 per barrel, while the crude palm oil price decreased by -6.2% to RM4,538.00 per tonne
Bursa Malaysia reclassified its trading data effective last Monday (6th April) with the aim of providing more granular and clearer insights into trade participation and fund flow.
