Bursa Malaysia Fines Directors RM2 Million Over Listing Breaches

Bursa Malaysia has reprimanded CFM and fined eight of its directors a total of RM2 million for breaches of listing requirements, signalling stricter enforcement of corporate governance rules.

Listing Breaches

The penalties were imposed following findings of non-compliance with disclosure obligations and governance standards. Regulators stressed that listed companies must adhere strictly to transparency requirements.

The move reflects Bursa’s commitment to maintaining market integrity and protecting investor confidence. Strong enforcement actions are expected to deter similar violations and reinforce accountability among public-listed companies in Malaysia.

Bursa cracks down on governance breaches with significant fines.
