Dell Technologies Expands NativeEdge AI Platform to Simplify Edge Operations and Boost Resilience

Dell Technologies has unveiled significant enhancements to its Dell NativeEdge edge operations software, aiming to streamline AI deployment and improve edge workload resilience. The updates enable organizations to better manage the growing volume of data generated and processed at the edge, with advanced features such as high-availability clustering and automated AI integrations.

Meeting the Growing Demand for Edge AI Solutions

As industries increasingly adopt edge computing, Gartner predicts that by 2025, more than 50% of enterprise-managed data will be created outside traditional data centers or cloud environments. To address this shift, Dell NativeEdge now offers multinode high-availability clustering for endpoints such as Dell PowerEdge servers, OptiPlex and Precision workstations, and Dell Gateways. These features enhance reliability, ensuring business continuity even during network disruptions or device failures.

According to Gil Shneorson, Dell’s Senior Vice President of Solutions and Platforms, “AI is accelerating new edge workloads and opportunities at an unprecedented rate. Our NativeEdge expansion automates the deployment and management of edge AI workloads, ensuring organizations can stay competitive and deliver positive customer outcomes.”

Innovations for Industry-Specific Needs

Dell NativeEdge simplifies AI deployment across industries with over 55 pre-built Blueprints. These Blueprints automate the setup of AI applications, reducing manual processes and setup errors. Updates include integrations with open-source tools like Apache Spark and MLflow, as well as solutions tailored for sectors such as retail, agriculture, and urban infrastructure.

For example, Nature Fresh Farms has implemented Dell NativeEdge to optimize its IoT-enabled facilities. The platform provides real-time insights into infrastructure and packaging operations, reducing costs and boosting operational efficiency.

Enhanced AI Capabilities for Real-Time Applications

The updates also include expanded support for applications such as Intel® Geti™ for developing computer vision AI models and NVIDIA AI Enterprise software for secure AI inferencing. These tools enable faster and more efficient AI deployment at scale, critical for businesses managing thousands of edge locations.

With these advancements, Dell NativeEdge positions itself as a leader in edge AI operations, offering organizations a reliable, scalable, and versatile solution for leveraging AI to drive innovation and growth.
