Dell Technologies Appoints New Country Manager for Malaysia

On August 23, 2024, Dell Technologies announced the appointment of Saravanan Krishnan as the new country manager for Malaysia. He succeeds Mak Chin Wah, who has transitioned to a new role as the country manager for Asia Emerging Markets at Dell Technologies.

Saravanan brings over 25 years of IT industry experience to this role. He will oversee the leadership and execution of Dell’s sales strategy in Malaysia, focusing on business growth and supporting customers’ and partners’ technology goals, especially in AI and digital transformation.

New Country Manager

He has been with Dell since 2015, holding various senior leadership roles, including General Manager of Unstructured Data Solutions (UDS) across Asia Pacific, Japan, and Greater China, and General Manager of Data Protection Solutions (DPS) for South Asia and Emerging Markets. Before Dell, he held leadership positions at Hitachi Vantara, HPE, Sun StorageTek, and IBM.

Saravanan is also an active member of the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and previously served as Chairman of the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) for South Asia from 2013 to 2015. He holds an Executive MBA from the Helsinki School of Economics and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science & Information Systems from the National University of Singapore.
