Dell Techchnologies Multicloud Data Protection Against Rising Cyber Threats

Dell Technologies is bolstering its data protection portfolio with the new PowerProtect Data Domain systems, Dell APEX Backup Services AI and Storage Direct Protection to strengthen cyber resiliency against increasing cyberattacks.

These enhancements address findings from the 2024 Dell Global Data Protection Index survey, indicating significant gaps in organisations’ ability to combat ransomware threats and recover from cyberattacks reliably.

Key highlights from the new product offerings:

Dell PowerProtect Data Domain DD9410 and DD9910 system features enhanced performance, security and cyber resiliency, efficiency, and scalability for large enterprises with:

Up to 38% faster backups, 44% faster restores
Up to 11% less power consumed and 65x deduplication
1.5PBs of usable capacity in a single appliance

Dell APEX Backup Services AI aims to address growing demand for GenAI data protection with the integrated GenAI assistant for streamlined protection processes on backup and recovery. GenAI assistant could assist users to:

Request real-time custom reports, refine report variables and remedy backup failures
Understand, improve and troubleshoot backup and security postures
Simplify backup administrations
