Dunlop Enters New Chapter in Malaysia with EV-Ready Tyres
Dunlop has marked a new chapter in Malaysia under Toyotsu Binter Malaysia Sdn Bhd (TBM), its newly appointed exclusive distributor, with a showcase at Malaysia Autoshow 2026. The move strengthens Dunlop’s market presence through improved nationwide accessibility, closer dealer engagement, and a refreshed product lineup tailored for both conventional and electric vehicles (EVs).
Dunlop, present in Malaysia since the 1960s, is now aligned with Toyotsu Binter’s ASEAN expertise and Toyota Tsusho Corporation’s global network, alongside Sumitomo Rubber Industries.
Highlighting its EV-ready focus, the company introduced the Blue Response TG tyre, designed for enhanced comfort, stability, reduced rolling resistance, and quieter cabins—key features for electrified mobility.
TBM Managing Director Marcus Lim said the transition reflects a long-term commitment to Malaysia, focusing on supply consistency and expanded dealer reach. TBM currently works with over 190 authorised wholesalers and dealers, with plans to expand and introduce specialist retail concepts nationwide.
