Equinix Expands AI Push with NVIDIA, Together AI, AWS and Google Cloud

KUALA LUMPUR — Equinix has unveiled two major initiatives at its Equinix Horizon event, underscoring the next phase of AI infrastructure growth. As Malaysia and the wider region scale their AI and cloud ambitions, the focus is shifting from raw data centre capacity to how workloads are placed, accessed, and connected across increasingly distributed environments.

The first announcement, Equinix Inference Exchange, developed with NVIDIA and Together AI, will allow enterprises to deploy AI inference closer to their data, applications, and users. Supporting more than 200 open-source models, the platform will provide secure connectivity to clouds, networks, and AI providers via Equi nix Fabric. It is expected to be available in Q1 2027.

Equinix

The second, Equinix Fabric One, is a managed connectivity service designed to automate enterprise connections across cloud, AI, and enterprise environments. With AWS and Google Cloud as lead integration partners, customers can specify connectivity needs while Equinix manages routing, encryption, resiliency, and performance.

Together, these developments highlight how AI infrastructure is evolving — not just to support capacity, but to ensure workloads are closer to users and seamlessly connected across providers.
