Fahmi wants explanations from all parties in FashionValet losses

KUALA LUMPUR: Fahmi Fadzil, government spokesperson and Minister of Communications, called on Khazanah Nasional Berhad (Khazanah), Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB), and FashionValet to explain a reported RM43.9 million investment loss. This loss, involving two government-linked investment companies (GLICs) in FashionValet, has raised public concern, Fahmi noted at the MADANI Deepavali Open House 2024.

Khazanah – Explain lah

“Since public funds are involved, Khazanah and FashionValet owe an explanation. I expect a statement soon,” he said.

Separately, Fahmi met Meta Platforms Inc., urging immediate action on social media licensing to curb scams and pedophilia, rejecting Meta’s request for extended compliance time.
