At the GITEX GLOBAL 2024 event, held in Dubai from October 14 to 18, Huawei, as a Diamond Sponsor, showcased its latest innovations and solutions designed to accelerate industrial digital and intelligent transformation across multiple sectors. With the theme “Accelerate Industrial Digitalization and Intelligence,” Huawei hosted the Industrial Digital and Intelligent Transformation Summit, where it unveiled a series of joint solutions with partners for ten key industries, including public utilities, transportation, finance, electric power, oil & gas, mining, retail, education, and healthcare. These initiatives are aimed at helping businesses and governments improve efficiency, productivity, and adaptability through advanced technology.

Huawei introduced a range of digital and intelligent transformation solutions for industries such as government, finance, electric power, manufacturing, and oil & gas. These products and solutions, developed in collaboration with over 30 local solution partners in the UAE, are tailored to support customers in achieving sustainable digital transformation and optimizing business operations.
2. Commitment to Ecosystem Development:
Huawei reaffirmed its commitment to fostering a healthy, open, and mutually beneficial partner ecosystem. The company operates 14 OpenLabs globally to facilitate joint innovation and collaboration with local solution partners. Huawei’s partnerships in the UAE have resulted in more than 20 industry-specific solutions that cater to local needs.

5. Keynote by Senior Huawei Executives:

• Leo Chen, Corporate Senior Vice President and President of Enterprise Sales, underscored the role of AI and 5G-A as key technologies in driving the fourth industrial revolution, leading to significant productivity gains. He also spoke about Huawei’s commitment to overcoming challenges related to infrastructure, industrial applications, and talent ecosystems. Huawei’s Amplifying Industrial Digitalization & Intelligence Practice White Paper was also introduced, sharing over 100 success stories across 20 industries to guide businesses in their own digital transformations.
6. New Global Digital Index (GDI):
In collaboration with IDC, Huawei launched a new Global Digital Index (GDI), offering quantitative evaluation indicators to help businesses worldwide assess and track their digital and intelligent transformation progress.
7. Building Next-Generation ICT Infrastructure:
David Shi, Huawei’s Vice President of ICT Marketing and Solution Sales, emphasized the importance of robust ICT infrastructure to support digital and intelligent transformation. Huawei proposed four guiding principles to facilitate the building and use of ICT infrastructure: ease of integration, access, use, and evolution. These principles are designed to make ICT infrastructure more accessible for various industries and support the digitalization of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises. Shi also stressed the need for accelerating monetization by integrating advanced technologies and building a thriving partner ecosystem to support enterprise growth.
