Copy Trading Outperforms as Gold Surges: Followme’s 2025 Mid-Year Report Reveals Global Trends

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 — Followme has released its 2025 Mid-Year Trading Report, offering deep insights into global trading behavior from over 17,700 active accounts. Despite turbulent markets, copy trading emerged as the top-performing strategy, with nearly 47.3% of such accounts posting net gains — significantly outperforming self-directed and even signal-provider accounts.

Gold (XAU/USD) was the most actively traded asset, surging 25.7% in H1 2025, while average losses per account dropped 38%, signaling a shift toward more disciplined trading. The report also highlighted that profitable traders executed 25.3% more trades with 62.7% larger position sizes, reinforcing that strategy and execution matter more than volume alone.

Followme’s Mid-year report

While total deposits remained steady at USD 195 million, withdrawals fell 7%, reflecting both market uncertainty and underlying losses in smaller accounts. The data suggests growing maturity among retail traders and rising interest in structured strategies like copy trading as they navigate geopolitical risks and volatile macroeconomic shifts.
