Affin Hwang Investment Bank Names Hanif Ghulam Mohammed as New CEO

PETALING JAYA: Affin Group has appointed Hanif Ghulam Mohammed as the new chief executive officer of Affin Hwang Investment Bank Bhd, effective Sept 9, 2025. Hanif, who previously served as executive director of group treasury at Affin Bank Bhd, brings over 20 years of banking experience with a focus on Treasury, debt capital markets, and Islamic finance. He also sits on Bank Negara Malaysia’s Financial Markets Committee and chairs its Islamic Financial Markets Subcommittee. Affin Group said the appointment aligns with its AX28 Strategic Plan to strengthen market position, foster innovation, and deliver long-term value.
