Hatton National Bank Sri Lanka’s Use of Robotics Wins Accolade

Hatton National Bank (HNB) has received awards in 2023 for integrating Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into its Custody Banking and Trustee Service, marking a milestone in its digitalization journey that began in 2019.

Spearheaded by the Process Excellence (Services) team, HNB’s RPA implementation focuses on the back office and central processing units, enhancing customer experience and achieving significant productivity gains.

The automation reduces processing time, minimizes errors, and facilitates same-day trade reports, setting a new industry benchmark. HNB’s commitment to technology investment for efficiency underscores its leadership in local custodian and trustee services, with plans to extend RPA integration to other departments.
