Huawei Digital Power introduced its FusionSolar smart photovoltaic and energy storage system (PV & ESS) at the Malaysia PV & ESS Safety Forum & Product Launch 2024.
Simon Sun, CEO of Huawei Malaysia, highlighted the company’s commitment to innovation in renewable energy, citing their 2023 achievement of delivering 145 gigawatts of solar inverters globally, totaling 445 gigawatts and generating 1,110.6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. This is equivalent to planting 755 million trees.
Huawei aims to advance Malaysia’s shift from high-carbon to low-carbon energy by integrating its ‘4T’ technologies—digital technology, electronic power technology, thermal management technology, and ESS management technology.
Sun emphasized that the era of solar power and energy storage parity is nearing, with FusionSolar combining solar and battery storage as a sustainable energy solution. This transition supports Malaysia’s carbon reduction targets, aligning with the government’s goal of halving carbon emissions by 2030 and achieving full carbon neutrality by 2050.
