Jati Tinggi Lands Record RM568.2mil TNB Contract, Strengthening 500kV Credentials

Jati Tinggi Group Bhd (JT) has secured its largest-ever contract through a three-party joint venture, winning a RM568.2 million project from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) for the development of the 500kV Paka substation. JT will undertake 55% of the works, equivalent to approximately RM312.5 million, with completion targeted by October 2028.

The award lifts JT’s unbilled orderbook to a record RM1.5 billion and marks its first entry into the 500kV substation segment, enhancing its credentials in extra-high-voltage infrastructure. AmBank Research maintained its BUY call and RM2.00 target price, citing strong orderbook replenishment and growing opportunities from TNB’s transmission infrastructure spending plans.
