MAG Considers Khazanah Funding to Support Fleet Expansion

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) is considering utilising funds from Khazanah Nasional as part of its strategy to expand its aircraft fleet by 2026.

The move is aimed at strengthening operational capacity and supporting long-term growth in the aviation sector. Expanding the fleet would allow the group to meet rising travel demand while enhancing regional connectivity.

Khazanah Funding

Industry observers say such funding support could accelerate recovery efforts following challenges faced by the aviation industry in recent years. However, careful financial planning will be crucial to ensure sustainability.

MAG’s consideration reflects broader efforts to position Malaysia as a competitive aviation hub in Southeast Asia.
