Malaysia and Singapore unveiled the first Rapid Transit System Link (RTS Link) train on June 30, 2025, at the Singapore Rail Test Centre. The cross-border rail project, connecting Johor Baru and Singapore, will feature eight trains manufactured by China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Zhuzhou Locomotive. Operated by RTS Operations Pte Ltd, a joint venture between Prasarana RTS Operations and SMRT RTS, the four-car trains, designed with colors inspired by both nations’ flags, can carry 600 passengers each, with a peak capacity of 10,000 passengers per hour per direction. Off-site systems integration testing will occur over the coming months.
