Maxim and Drive For Inclusion
Maxim Malaysia has launched a pioneering program, “Drive For Inclusion”, aimed at empowering individuals with special needs to join the e-hailing industry. The initiative provides meaningful employment opportunities while promoting independence, dignity, and financial stability for those often excluded from the workforce.
Under the program, Maxim offers subsidized commission rates between 0% and 5%, depending on driver activity, alongside a dedicated daily helpline for technical support and a peer-support network. Drivers with special needs will undergo a similar registration process as regular drivers, with additional verification through their OKU card.
Maxim Malaysia’s Director, Mohd Hazwan Musley, emphasized that the initiative seeks to break barriers, proving that “ability outweighs disability.” Early participant Abd Hashim, who is half paralysed, credited the program with restoring his independence and livelihood.
Maxim has also introduced an online income calculator, helping drivers plan trips and maximize their earnings efficiently.
