Maxim secures final APAD approval, cleared to operate nationwide

KUALA LUMPUR: Maxim E-hailing Malaysia has received final approval from the Land Public Transport Agency (APAD), confirming full compliance and allowing uninterrupted nationwide operations. The three-month monitoring period ended successfully after the company submitted all required reports and completed major upgrades.

Key improvements included 100% PSV and eVP driver licensing, internal audits, financial aid of up to RM400 for new drivers, 0% commission incentives, and partnerships with driving schools for fast-track PSV training. Safety enhancements feature women-only rides in East Coast cities, child seats for top Terengganu drivers, and an upgraded SOS button.

Maxim also expanded OKU-friendly services with zero commission for disabled drivers and continued community initiatives including free transport for the blind and blood donation drives.

“This approval marks a new growth phase. We thank APAD, our drivers, passengers and partners for their trust,” said Hazwan, Maxim Malaysia representative, adding the platform remains committed to affordable, inclusive mobility and reducing market monopoly.
