KUALA LUMPUR, 9 January 2025 – The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) proudly announces the public launch of the IP360 Metaverse Platform, a groundbreaking initiative showcasing Malaysia’s leadership in digital innovation and cultural preservation. In partnership with Ammobox Studios Sdn Bhd, this pioneering platform redefines how global audiences experience Malaysia’s rich heritage and creative prowess.

Metaverse platform

Currently in its Minimum Viable Product (MVP)stage, the IP360 Metaverse Platform offers a seamless, interactive gateway into Malaysia’s 3D digital experiences for both local and international audiences. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and Pixel Streaming, it delivers stunning, high-quality visuals accessible via any web browser, eliminating the need for high-performance hardware.

The platform features two immersive experiences designed to captivate global audiences while celebrating Malaysia’s cultural heritage:

  • Virtual Theme Park: Dive into interactive experiences featuring beloved Malaysian intellectual properties (IPs) like Ejen Ali and Didi and Friends. From engaging games like “Find the Spy” to skill-building activities at the “Training Centre”, the theme park sets a new standard for digital entertainment. Didi and Friends is tentatively set to premiere in Q1 2025.
  • Digital Museum: Explore Malaysia’s cultural legacy through artifact interactions, treasure hunt games, local language lessons, and holographic traditional dance performances.
