Ouch! Secures RM5 Million Funding and BNM Sandbox Extension


Ouch!, Malaysia’s pioneering digital takaful operator, has secured RM5 million from PPB Ventures and received a one-year extension to operate under Bank Negara Malaysia’s (BNM) Regulatory Sandbox.

Ouch!

The funds will be used to expand market share, enhance technology, and develop a proprietary system. Ouch! aims to offer accessible, Shariah-compliant takaful solutions, especially for underserved Malaysians, and is working towards securing a Digital Takaful Operator (DITO) licence from BNM.

Future plans include another fundraising round to meet capital requirements for the licence, reinforcing its mission to provide innovative financial protection.
