PETRONAS Reaffirms Long-Term Commitment to Brazil Amid Global Growth and Transformation Drive

PETRONAS has reaffirmed its commitment to Brazil as part of its broader global transformation journey, addressing recent media reports with a clarification on its investment strategy. Brazil remains a key market, with PETRONAS operating three producing upstream fields and four deepwater exploration blocks, alongside a robust downstream presence including 30 branded fuel stations and a lubricant hub serving over 20 countries in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through its subsidiaries MISC and AET, PETRONAS also supports offshore production via an FPSO and 13 dynamic positioning shuttle tankers.

As part of its disciplined international expansion, PETRONAS recently secured new exploration blocks in Indonesia and Suriname, a PSC in Turkmenistan, and delivered its first LNG cargo from Canada.
