Anwar: BUDI95 Ensures Targeted RON95 Subsidy Benefits Malaysians
The Finance Ministry has announced retail fuel price adjustments for the period of April 30 to May 6, 2026. RON97 petrol will increase by five sen to RM4.90 per litre, while unsubsidised RON95 rises 10 sen to RM3.97 per litre. Diesel prices in Peninsular Malaysia remain unchanged at RM5.12 per litre.
The ministry said the adjustment follows the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM), reflecting average global prices amid ongoing Middle East crises. Subsidised fuel prices remain unchanged, including RON95 (BUDI95) at RM1.99 per litre. The government urged prudent fuel use to safeguard supply stability and protect citizens from global price volatility.
