Samsung Rolls Out One UI 8.5 Beta with Smarter AI Editing and Auracast Broadcasting

SEOUL, 9 December 2025 – Samsung Electronics today kicked off the One UI 8.5 beta program, promising Galaxy users a more intuitive and secure experience. The update focuses on effortless content creation and cross-device connectivity.

Key highlights include an upgraded Photo Assist that lets users generate and edit images continuously without saving intermediate versions, complete with an edit-history gallery.

Quick Share now automatically detects people in photos and suggests sending images directly to them.

On the connectivity front, the new Audio Broadcast feature powered by Auracast allows users to broadcast both media audio and their own voice through the phone’s microphone to nearby LE Audio devices — perfect for tours, lectures or events.

The beta is now rolling out to select Galaxy devices, with stable release expected in early 2026.
