Sunway Acquires Prime Freehold Land in KL for a RM3.2 Billion Mixed-Use Development

Sunway Berhad, through its subsidiary Sunway Melawati Sdn Bhd, has acquired a 17.58-acre parcel of prime freehold land in Taman Taynton, Kuala Lumpur, for RM320 million.

The land, located next to Sunway Alishan, will be developed into a mixed-use project with an estimated gross development value of RM3.2 billion. The development will include luxury serviced apartments and a wellness-focused retail podium, featuring health clinics.

The project will follow the Sunway Design and Development Architecture (SDDA), focusing on sustainability, innovation, wellness, and modern lifestyles. Sunway Property Managing Director Sarena Cheah highlighted the project’s potential to address the demand for high-quality urban developments in Kuala Lumpur, aiming to create a community-centered space.

The site is strategically connected to major highways and public transportation, with proximity to the Middle Ring Road 2 (MRR2), MRT, and LRT stations. Sunway Property plans to work with local authorities to ensure the development adheres to top standards in quality, safety, and environmental responsibility.
