Sunway Healthcare Launches Digital-First ‘Know Diabetes’ Campaign to Tackle Rising Rates

Sunway Healthcare Group launches its annual “Know Diabetes” campaign on November 14, focusing on a digital-first approach to increase health literacy among Malaysians.

In its third year, the campaign aims to address the rising diabetes prevalence, with 1 in 5 adults affected according to the National Health and Morbidity Survey 2019. The digital initiative offers free resources, including a diabetes risk calculator and knowledge quizzes with chances to win Sunway Lagoon passes.

President Dato’ Lau Beng Long emphasizes collaboration to combat the diabetes crisis. Social media influencer Arwind Kumar initiates a challenge, offering participants a chance to win tickets for a special diabetes-friendly dinner. Sunway Home Healthcare’s experts showcase the impact of food choices on blood sugar levels using a continuous glucose monitor.

For campaign updates, visit Sunway Healthcare Group’s social media pages, and access the risk calculator on Sunway Medical Centre’s webpage at diabetes.sunwaymedical.com.
