Meanwhile, crude oil prices remained elevated at nearly USD92 per barrel amid ongoing Middle East tensions. In Hong Kong, the Hang Seng Index staged a late recovery, supported by defensive stocks, though tech counters weighed on sentiment. Locally, the FBMKLCI closed slightly lower, with Rakuten Trade expecting the index to consolidate within the 1,725–1,735 range today.
