1% Extra Bonus Tariffs on Malaysia on top of Previous 24% Proposal says Netizen

The US imposes a 25% tariff on Malaysian goods from Aug 1, citing unfair trade practices. Trump calls the rate minimal, urges policy reform, warns against rerouting, and offers tariff relief for manufacturing in America.

1% Extra bonus tariffs on Malaysia says netizen

It seems that despite all the efforts made to reduce said tariffs towards our country has seen little progress according to social media users. Furthermore, some are even saying this is a 1% extra bonus that was imposed on our country.

X users add that it is time for Malaysians to “fight back” by buying more locally made products rather than imported ones from the United States. Additionally, a significant portion of American made goods are not even made in America.

Oddly enough, the President of the United States said that for Malaysia to receive less tariffs, we should manufacture our goods in the US.

Laos and Myanmar receiving 40% tariffs

Countries like Myanmar and Laos are apparently receiving a 40% tariff, which is significantly more than what we’re receiving. Some MAGA supporters are trying to justify their President’s actions by making derogatory remarks about said Southeast Asian countries.
