PUTRAJAYA – The Attorney General’s Chambers (A-GC) has confirmed the existence of a royal addendum that could allow Datuk Seri Najib Razak to serve the rest of his prison sentence under house arrest. However, A-GC is contesting the manner in which the document was submitted as evidence in Najib’s judicial review. Senior Federal Counsel Shamsul Bolhassan argued proper procedures must be followed when introducing new evidence. The addendum was submitted via an affidavit by Najib’s son, Datuk Mohamad Nizar, but without the Sultan of Pahang’s consent to use the letter. The Federal Court panel heard the submissions today.
