Agoda: 80% Surge in Accommodation Searches Before Hari Raya

SINGAPORE, March 11, 2025 – Agoda has recorded an almost 80% month-on-month increase in accommodation searches from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore as travelers prepare for the Hari Raya holiday. The surge highlights strong travel interest, with many planning trips to visit family or enjoy a festive getaway.

Surge in Accommodation

Thailand and Japan emerged as the top-searched destinations, followed by China, South Korea, and Taiwan. At the city level, Bangkok leads, with Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, and Taipei rounding out the top five.

Gede Gunawan, Senior Country Director Indonesia at Agoda, noted that Hari Raya is a key travel period, with people eager to reconnect and explore. Agoda continues to offer travel deals to help travelers find affordable and convenient accommodations.
