PETALING JAYA: Malaysians may soon find it easier to access government services online with the integration of an artificial intelligence (AI) agent into the MyGOV Malaysia application.
Digital Minister Gobind Singh Deo said the enhancement was part of efforts to ensure government digital services kept pace with technological developments while making digitalisation more accessible to the public.
Speaking at the opening of Jelajah Malaysia Digital (JMD) at Dewan Komuniti Damansara Damai today, Gobind said MyGOV was being developed as a single platform for services offered by the Federal, state and local governments.
He said the move would help address public concerns over the growing number of applications required to access different government services.

“We have to look at current technology and make sure that the application or technology we use is in line with the technology available today,” he said.
Gobind said the AI agent was among the latest developments being incorporated into MyGOV, reflecting the Government’s efforts to evolve its digital services alongside technological advances.
He urged Malaysians to explore the platform and make use of its available services, stressing that digitalisation was not merely about introducing new technology but ensuring people understood how to use it effectively.
Gobind also highlighted the importance of digital literacy, warning Malaysians to verify information obtained online to avoid falling victim to scams and false information.
He said JMD would help expand digital literacy efforts to communities nationwide, including at district level, by demonstrating how technology could improve daily life, businesses and productivity.
