New: Alipay+ Driving Sustainable Travel
Alipay+ by Ant International initiated a year-end campaign in collaboration with leading e-wallets like Touch ‘n Go eWallet to drive sustainable cross-border travel, particularly focusing on Malaysian merchants poised for global travel recovery.
The campaign, running till December 31, includes various incentives for travelers heading to select destinations such as Malaysia, Hong Kong, Japan, and others. These incentives range from partnerships with global industry leaders to local SMEs, creating diverse offers and opportunities for travelers.
The campaign isn’t solely about travel but aims to foster a positive impact by promoting responsible tourism. It offers incentives for eco-friendly behaviors, supporting local communities, and preserving cultures. These efforts underline Alipay+’s commitment to sustainable travel aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing collaborations with partners who share this sustainability commitment.
“Tourism is an important contributor to the local economy, and TNG Digital is committed to making a positive difference with our product and services, especially to encourage sustainable travel. Touch ‘n Go eWallet cross-border payments in the Chinese mainland have grown by more than 100% month-on-month in 2023. With that, we are hopeful that with our small gesture, we can create a path for others to follow.” says CEO of TNG Digital, operator of Touch ‘n Go eWallet, Alan Ni.
