ASEAN Youth Fellowship 2025 Unites 42 Regional Leaders in Singapore and Malaysia
ASEAN Youth Fellowship 2025 brought together 42 emerging leaders from across Southeast Asia for an eight-day programme in Singapore and Malaysia. The seventh edition ran from 7 to 14 November and focused on “Inclusivity and Sustainability”, aligned with ASEAN priorities and Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship direction.
In Singapore, participants met Singapore Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong for a policy dialogue on regional cooperation, innovation, and youth leadership. The cohort also toured Punggol Digital District to observe applied digital transformation and smart urban planning.
In Kuala Lumpur, the Fellows held a dialogue with Malaysia’s Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil on ASEAN’s digital future. Topics included governance, misinformation challenges, digital access, and trust-building across cultures.
The group also examined Malaysia’s sustainable development efforts through visits to URBANICE Malaysia and PARC in Subang Jaya, gaining exposure to inclusive urban design and community-driven environmental stewardship.
