ATLAS Vending and SW Corp Launch ECOPODs to Boost Recycling in Malaysia
KUALA LUMPUR, 2 October 2025 – ATLAS Vending, the vending arm of Etika Sdn Bhd, has partnered with the Solid Waste Management and Public Cleansing Corporation (SW Corp) to transform Malaysia’s recycling culture. Through a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), 50 ECOPOD reverse vending machines will be deployed across the country at wet markets, universities, hospitals, and Urban Transformation Centres (UTCs).
Recognised by Guinness World Records as the world’s thinnest reverse vending machine with can compaction technology, ECOPOD is designed to save space while efficiently holding up to 214 crushed cans and 70 bottles per cycle. Users only need a mobile number to recycle and can instantly redeem credits for discounted drinks from ATLAS vending machines.
This collaboration aligns with Malaysia’s Plastics Sustainability Roadmap 2021–2030, promoting daily recycling habits and showcasing homegrown innovation. Both organisations aim to make recycling simple, engaging, and impactful for all Malaysians.
