Bursa Malaysia saw gains during the morning trading session, fueled by bargain hunting. The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rose 2.89 points to 1,617.62, with Maybank and Tenaga Nasional among the top performers.
Gainers outnumbered losers, with turnover reaching 3.38 billion units worth RM2.13 billion. Active stocks included JAKS Resources and Jati Tinggi Group.
Across indices, the FBM Emas Index, FBMT 100 Index, FBM Emas Shariah Index, FBM 70 Index, and FBM ACE Index all saw increases.
Sector-wise, the Financial Services Index and the Energy Index showed gains, while the Telecommunications and Media Index experienced a slight dip.
