C919 arrives in Dubai for first Middle East showcase at 2025 Dubai Airshow
A China Southern Airlines C919 aircraft arrived at Al Maktoum International Airport on Friday for its debut at the 2025 Dubai Airshow. The COMAC-built jet landed at 1:15 a.m. local time and will be showcased for the first time in the Middle East from Nov 17 to 21. Two other COMAC aircraft will also be displayed.
China Southern recently expanded C919 commercial operations, adding regular flights at Beijing Daxing International Airport. The airline has carried more than 460,000 passenger trips with its five C919s, logging about 7,800 safe flight hours.
Across China, 18 C919s delivered to major carriers now operate on 24 routes, carrying more than 2 million passengers. China Eastern’s fleet alone has recorded over 28,000 safe flight hours.
The C919 also marked a milestone earlier this year with its scheduled service debut between Shanghai and Hong Kong. The jet seats up to 192 passengers and is China’s first self-developed trunk airliner meeting international airworthiness standards.
