Adam Radlan sought by MACC after acquittal in Jana Wibawa case
Segambut Bersatu deputy chief Adam Radlan Adam Muhammad is now wanted by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to assist in an investigation linked to the MEX II highway project. MACC chief Azam Baki said the agency suspects Adam is abroad and will work with the Immigration Department to verify his location. The commission has urged him to return and cooperate.
Adam was acquitted in August of 12 corruption and money-laundering charges tied to Jana Wibawa after paying a RM4.1 million compound under AMLA. The charges had involved alleged solicitation and receipt of millions in bribes to secure projects for several companies. His acquittal followed the Attorney-General’s Chambers’ acceptance of his representation.
The latest MACC search relates to delays and alleged financial irregularities surrounding the Putrajaya–KLIA MEX II project. Earlier this year, Maju Holdings director Abu Sahid Mohamed was charged with CBT and money laundering involving more than RM450 million in the same project. Adam’s whereabouts remain unknown as investigators attempt to reach him through public notices and official channels. – Photo: Social Media
