The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) hosted the second Malaysia Digital Tech Adoption Summit, focusing on blockchain technology’s transformative potential. Officiated by Deputy Minister of Digital, Datuk Wilson Ugak Anak Kumbong, the event aligned with Malaysia’s goal to become ASEAN’s digital hub under the Malaysia Digital initiative.
Blockchain adoption in Malaysia has grown significantly, with over 840,000 Malaysians using regulated digital asset exchanges. The summit emphasized blockchain’s critical role in sectors like finance, healthcare, and supply chain management, promoting transparency, security, and efficiency. It also aimed to foster collaboration, innovation, and digital infrastructure development across industries.
