At the PKR 2024/2025 National Congress in Johor Baru, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced a review of the e-Invoice system to reduce its burden on small companies, while emphasizing its role in preventing revenue leakages. The system’s phased implementation began in August 2024 for large firms, with full rollout for all businesses, including MSMEs, set for July 1, 2025. Anwar also addressed subsidies, rejecting fuel price hikes for Malaysians but proposing increases for foreigners. He highlighted growing support among civil servants for the Madani government, crediting the new Public Service Remuneration System.
