Emirates Expands Flexibility with Unlimited Date Changes and Comprehensive Travel Cover

DUBAI, Aug 11, 2026Emirates has introduced a suite of new measures designed to give customers greater flexibility, choice, and peace of mind when planning their travel.

From 10 August 2026, passengers travelling to Dubai can enjoy unlimited free date changes across all fare types, from Economy Saver to Business Flex. Refund fees have also been substantially reduced, with charges now set at just US$25–50 depending on fare class.

Beyond Dubai, customers across the Emirates network benefit from one free date change on tickets booked from April 2026, alongside the ability to hold fares for 24 hours at no cost.

Emirates has also launched an industry-first Comprehensive Travel Cover, available across 27 countries. The insurance includes conflict cover, reimbursement of medical expenses up to US$25,000, trip extensions of up to 30 days, and protection against cancellations, baggage delays, and losses. Coverage applies regardless of government travel advisories, offering travellers added assurance.

Emirates Unlimited Date Changes

For Emirates Skywards members, special promotions run until 31 August 2026. Benefits include 20% fewer Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold, or Platinum status, a 20% Tier Miles bonus on Emirates and flydubai flights, and enhanced Cash+Miles savings at a rate of 2,000 Miles = US$30.

Together, these initiatives highlight Emirates’ commitment to customer-centric innovation, ensuring travellers can adapt plans easily while enjoying added protection and rewards.
