F5 Unveils NGINX One: Unified App Delivery and Security Solution for Dev, Ops, and Platform Teams

On October 15, 2024, F5 launched NGINX One, a comprehensive application delivery and security solution designed for enterprise-scale modern apps and APIs. NGINX One combines advanced web and application server load balancing, API gateway, and security features into a single platform to simplify operations across data centers, cloud, and edge environments. It consolidates previously separate NGINX solutions like NGINX Plus, offering a more efficient, cost-effective approach.

Key Features of the NGINX One

• Centralized management via a SaaS-based NGINX One Console.

• Simplified policy enforcement across hybrid multi-cloud environments.

• Enhanced visibility and automation for updates, helping teams scale apps more efficiently.

• Support for modern cloud-native applications like containers and Kubernetes.

F5 emphasizes the importance of team collaboration in application delivery. Shawn Wormke, VP and General Manager for NGINX at F5, stated, “NGINX One is ideal for optimizing, scaling, and securing complex app environments and APIs, making it easier for teams to align workflows and deliver results.”

Jim Mercer, VP at IDC, praised NGINX One’s design, saying it “marks the evolution of NGINX from an app development tool to an enterprise-class SaaS solution that simplifies workflows and increases visibility across Kubernetes clusters.”
